I spent years working across construction and trades, building everything from full homes to renovations. But it was when a family member needed modifications to stay safely in their own home that everything shifted. I saw firsthand how the right changes — a well-placed grab rail, a threshold ramp, or a doorway modification — could give someone back their independence and dignity.
That experience set a new direction. Melbourne Home Modifications brings our trade expertise and a genuine understanding of what's at stake to every accessible home modification we take on. We work closely with individuals and their families, occupational therapists and case managers to make sure each solution fits the person, not just the space.
Melbourne Home Modifications is about making sure people can keep living in the home they love, on their own terms.
My Approach
After years in building and construction, I learned what clients really value — quality workmanship, the right materials for the job, and a tradie who shows up and does what they say they will. That's the standard I bring to every job at Melbourne Home Modifications.
Identify the Job
Once you have identified what modification is required either individually or with an occupational therapist, you are ready to get in contact. If you need advice making a decision, please reach out anyway.
Request a Quote
We will provide a timely quote in 48 hours. If we need further information before we can provide a quote, we will contact you or your supporting professional as soon as possible.
Approval
If you have funding through Support at Home or NDIS, we will await approval before proceeding with the modification. Once we get approval, we will contact the client to discuss availability and arrange a time to complete the job.
Job Done
On the day of the modification, we will provide a high quality and punctual service, completing the job, and ensuring a clean site upon completion. Sit back and relax! For OT’s and co-ordinators, we take photos of all jobs for proof of work to scope.
